Finish Line
Digital Marketing & Web Design
Fast-paced footwear retail design across digital and web production
Year:
2016-2017
Responsibilities:
Digital Associate Web Designer
Overview:
Finish Line is one of the leading athletic footwear and apparel retailers in the US, known for carrying the latest sneakers and gear from top brands across a wide range of digital and physical touchpoints.
Challenge:
Coming from outside the shoe and apparel industry, the challenge was getting up to speed quickly in a fast-moving retail environment where deadlines are tight, visual standards are high, and the work spans multiple channels simultaneously.
Solution:
As a Digital Associate Web Designer, I dove into digital asset production and branding projects across finishline.com, social media, and email campaigns. Despite being unfamiliar with the industry at first, I adapted quickly and built up a strong portfolio of work that sharpened my technical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. The experience taught me how to manage time effectively, communicate clearly across teams, and develop a more refined eye for design in a competitive retail environment.
